The world's most powerful search engine: Google But 99% don't know how to search efficiently. Here are 14 tips to help you find what you're looking for 10 times faster:

{ 1 } Quotation Marks Using quotation marks in your search terms lets you search exactly for that word. It means all your results will have your search terms in them. Example ↓ "Best ios apps 2022"

{ 2 } - Dashes If you want to exclude a term from your search, include a hyphen before that word. Example ↓ Best mobile apps -andorid The above example will ignore "-android" from the search.

{ 3 } ~ Tilde Use tilde when you also want its synonyms to appear in the result. Example ↓ "music~classes" The above query will search for music classes, lessons, coaching, etc.

{ 4 } site: Use this operator to search within a specific website only. Example ↓ site: The above will provide search results specific to that site.

{ 5 } Vertical bar This query will search websites that have any one / two / all of the terms. Example ↓ Hello world | Java Program

{ 6 } .. Two Periods Include two periods when you want to search within two number ranges. Example ↓ movies 1950..1970

{ 7 } Imagesize: If you want to search images of a particular size, then use the tag imagesize: in your search query, along with the width and height in pixels. Example ↓ candle imagesize:500px*500px

{ 8 } wildcard * The asterisk works as a wild card within searches. It can be used in place of a missing word or part of a word, which is useful for completing phrases. Example ↓ * oriented programming

{ 9 } Filetype: If you want to get search results that contain a particular file type, such as PDF or PPT, then add filetype: Example ↓ Who moved my cheese? filetype:ppt

{ 10 } Intitle: Sometimes you only want to find text within a page's URL, body, or title. Using the qualifier will search only within the title. Example ↓ Programming language Intitle: C

{ 11 } define: If you're looking for a word's definition, use the keyword define: to find a definition. Example ↓ define: pizza

{ 12 } search: Use the Keyword search: to search within a website. If you want to find something related to web development on a particular website, you can use the search. Example ↓ web development search:

{ 13 } OR Using the OR term, you can search for one or another term, not just all the terms. OR searches can be useful for finding things you’re not sure which term will be used from a known list. Example ↓ treehugger OR environmentalist

{ 14 } -site: If you want to exclude a particular website, use -site: Example ↓ -site: This will remove the above site from your search results.
